TRIP PRICING
Trip prices are quoted per person, in Canadian funds and are valid in the specific time frame as shown with the tours.
If using a credit card to secure your reservation, exchange rates will be determined by the issuing credit card company.
All tour packages are subject to Canada Federal Government 5% Goods & Services Tax (GST).
TRIP DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
To secure your reservation we require a per person deposit of $200.00 CDN, which holds your space until 60-days prior to the trip departure, when payment in full is due. Deposit requirement for the Inside Passage Farewell Harbour Lodge-based and the Mothership Sea Kayaking adventures is $400.00 CDN.
Deposits and final payment are payable by cheque, money order, Visa, or Master Card. If your deposit is made by credit card, we will automatically process the outstanding balance 60-days prior to the trip departure date unless notified to do otherwise.
For reservations made 60-days or less prior to departure date, full payment is required to confirm your booking. Deposits and trip payments are non-transferable.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
Should you need to cancel your reservation, refunds are based on the date we receive your written cancellation notice. Refunds will be according to the following schedule:
- More than 60 days prior to trip departure date - full refund less the deposit.
- 59 - 31 days prior to trip departure date - 50% refund of trip cost.*
- 30 - 0 days prior to trip departure date - no refund.*
* If Pacific Northwest Expeditions or you can find a replacement for your cancellation made 59 to 15 days prior to your trip departure date, we will refund the full amount, less a $100.00 administration fee.
TRANSFERS
If you are unable to participate on the trip you have reserved and notify us 59 to 30 days prior to the departure date your trip payment is transferable to any other Pacific Northwest Expeditions trip scheduled within the same year (subject to availability) at no extra cost.
TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE
For your protection, we recommend that you obtain Trip Cancellation Insurance.
A short-term travel insurance policy can cover non-refundable trip costs due to personal or family illness or accident.
Trip cancellation insurance must be purchased at the time your reservation is confirmed. Cancellation insurance generally covers:
1) cancellation due to medical reasons including travel companion or family
2)
loss of employment
3) jury duty
4) delay of scheduled carrier due to weather conditions
5) missed flight departure due to accident or highway closure
6) lost luggage
Insurance cost is generally 5-7% of the trip price total. Insurance can be purchased from your travel agency or from our travel agent, Uniglobe River City Travel;

CANCELLED TRIPS
Due to the nature of operating in wilderness areas, Pacific Northwest Expeditions reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure, for any reason. A minimum of 30 days notice prior to the trip departure date would be given. In such an event a full trip refund will be issued, or at your choice re-scheduling to another trip date. Pacific Northwest Expeditions is not responsible for any expenses incurred by trip guests in preparation for the trip.
TRIP DELAYS
If a trip is delayed due to weather, cancelled or delayed flights, or other means of transportation, illness, or any situation which Pacific Northwest Expeditions or its agents cannot make provisions for, the cost of delay is not included.
TRIP PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY
We strongly advise that you to check your personal insurance coverage. Ensure that you have sufficient health and personal injury insurance coverage should you require medical or hospital services during your visit to British Columbia. For detailed information on insurance coverage, please contact your insurance or travel agent..
Pacific Northwest Expeditions does not provide;
1)
personal or health insurance of any kind;
2) is not responsible for any medical costs, hospitalization costs, or evacuation costs should they be incurred for your safety or health during the course of the tour.
Guests traveling with us are expected to follow trip safety guidelines in accordance with trip leader direction.
All trip participants will be required to sign a ‘Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumptions of Risk, & Indemnity Agreement’ and complete a ‘Medical History Questionnaire’, prior to the trip departure date.
Release of Liability/ Waiver
Any trip participant under the age of 19 years will be required to have a legal guardian sign an Indemnity Agreement.
